Join Our Team as a Servant Leader Intern (SLI)!

 

The Freedom School program is seeking passionate, committed college students and recent graduates to serve as Servant Leader Interns for Summer 2026. This is a paid leadership opportunity designed to inspire and empower young adults to make an impact in their communities while helping children build a love for reading and learning.

As a Servant Leader Intern, you’ll:

Lead and mentor scholars in grades K–8 through engaging literacy-based and cultural activities.

Build leadership skills through training, community engagement, and teamwork.

Work alongside educators, community leaders, and peers to create a joyful, empowering summer experience.

We are actively recruiting from regional colleges and universities including Kean University, Union College of NJ, Middlesex County College, Rutgers University, Howard University, and Raritan Valley Community College.
